I am honored to be recognized by my school district for Hispanic Heritage Month. It is a privilege to share my children’s books on celiac disease, and I am grateful for the opportunity to raise awareness about this important health issue. Additionally, I appreciate the district’s support in promoting my work through a press release.
National Hispanic Heritage Month and Press Release

I am a Hispanic educator and children's book writer. I am an educator for over 20 years in grades K-3 public schools. I enjoy watching children's eyes light up and minds grow while reading my books. I incorporate reading strategies, higher level thinking and cultural diversity with a humorous tone. I also think it's important for children to have a takeaway from the story, so my stories always teach them a lesson to think about. I have high expectations for my students, my family and myself. Being that my husband is from Germany, we travel abroad quite frequently to visit family. Recently diagnosed as gluten intolerant, I have started to blog about gluten free food places I have found in my travels. This website will be shut down 2/2026.
