I am thrilled to share that the California Teacher’s Association has published an article celebrating my two celiac children’s books! This recognition is incredibly meaningful to me, and I am deeply grateful for the chance to reach CTA’s readers.
This opportunity is invaluable for connecting with celiac families and empowering children affected by this autoimmune disease. Thank you, CTA, for your support and for helping to spread awareness through my work!
I am also so honored to be spotlighted with Manasi and her website that spreads awareness of celiac disease. Thank you for sharing my books! Check out her website for more advice and recipes for gluten free diets.
I am a Hispanic educator and children's book writer. I am an educator for over 20 years in grades K-3 public schools. I enjoy watching children's eyes light up and minds grow while reading my books. I incorporate reading strategies, higher level thinking and cultural diversity with a humorous tone. I also think it's important for children to have a takeaway from the story, so my stories always teach them a lesson to think about. I have high expectations for my students, my family and myself. Being that my husband is from Germany, we travel abroad quite frequently to visit family. Recently diagnosed as gluten intolerant, I have started to blog about gluten free food places I have found in my travels.
